When Tidio fits better. We would rather you pick the right one.

Every tool here is good at something. This is where each one is the stronger choice.

Choose Tidio if

You want the Lyro AI agent to answer first across chat, email, WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger, with a free plan to start, ticketing in the same inbox and a focus on Shopify and WooCommerce stores.

Choose GreetDock if

You want a person answering every visitor, co-browsing after the visitor accepts, recording only when your team starts it, and no quota on conversations or calls.

What switching looks like. At your own pace, with nothing switched off first.

Questions teams ask before switching.

Does GreetDock have an AI agent like Lyro?

No. In GreetDock a person from your team answers every visitor. Tidio leads with Lyro, which answers from your support content and passes a question to a person when it cannot answer. In GreetDock, AI works on your team's side: when a call is recorded, a transcript and a summary draft are saved to the record.

Tidio has video calls too. What is different?

In both tools your team starts the call from the conversation and the visitor accepts in the widget. Around the call, GreetDock has co-browsing after the visitor accepts, and calls run through our own media relay in the EEA. We found no co-browsing or screen sharing on Tidio's own pages; GreetDock has no screen sharing either.

How does Tidio charge?

Tidio has a free plan and paid plans built on monthly quotas: conversations your agents handle, Lyro AI conversations and visitors reached by Flows. On standard monthly plans it upgrades automatically when a quota is nearly used, unless you turn that off. GreetDock has no charge per conversation, call or minute.

Where does Tidio store data?

Tidio's help centre says its data is stored on servers in EEA member countries, on AWS, and that billing details go to its US company and some support agents work outside the EEA. GreetDock is hosted in the EEA, and calls run through our own media relay in the EEA.

What does Tidio do that GreetDock does not?

Tidio has an AI agent that answers visitors, ticketing, WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger in the same inbox, and a free plan. GreetDock has no AI chatbot that answers visitors, no screen sharing, no helpdesk and no self-serve export. Visitors cannot start a call yet: today your team offers it.

Can GreetDock run next to our helpdesk?

Yes. GreetDock is where the live conversation on your website happens, and your helpdesk keeps running beside it. There are no helpdesk integrations in the private beta; your own AI tools can read the records over MCP with read-only tokens.

How hard is it to switch?

Apply for the private beta. After a person reviews your application, you add one script tag and invite your team. Your current tool can keep running beside GreetDock during the free 30-day trial.

What does GreetDock cost?

The private beta is a free 30-day trial, with no card and no automatic charge. After the beta, plans are based on monthly visitors. Prices are shared with each team before the beta ends.
