When LiveChat fits better. We would rather you pick the right one.

Every tool here is good at something. This is where each one is the stronger choice.

Choose LiveChat if

You want a mature live chat with an AI Agent that answers routine questions first, ticketing on every plan, desktop and mobile apps, and more than 200 integrations. Calls and co-browsing come from marketplace apps.

Choose GreetDock if

You want voice and video calls and co-browsing built into the same thread as the chat, with no marketplace app to add, no fee per conversation or call minute, and hosting in the EEA.

What switching looks like. At your own pace, with nothing switched off first.

Questions teams ask before switching.

Is GreetDock a LiveChat alternative?

For live chat run by people, yes: both put your team in a chat on your website. GreetDock also builds voice and video calls and co-browsing into the same thread. LiveChat adds those through marketplace apps.

Does LiveChat have video calls?

Not built in. LiveChat's own pages offer voice, video and screen sharing through marketplace apps such as SnapCall, where the agent sends the invitation. In GreetDock your team offers the call from the thread and the visitor accepts in the widget.

Does GreetDock have an AI agent like LiveChat's?

No. LiveChat's AI Agent answers routine questions and hands harder ones to your team. In GreetDock a person answers every visitor. AI works on your team's side: when a call is recorded, a transcript and a summary draft are saved to the record, using an EU-hosted model.

How does LiveChat charge?

LiveChat's pricing page now sells new trials as Text plans. Text is the next product from the team behind LiveChat, and its plans have a different feature mix from LiveChat plans; current LiveChat customers keep their plan, price and login. Text is priced per user, and everyone who answers chats or tickets needs a seat. AI resolutions and API calls are capped by plan, with extra packages sold. GreetDock has no charge per conversation, call or minute.

Where is our data hosted?

LiveChat stores data in the EU (EEA) or the US, chosen when you sign up, and in the US if you choose nothing. GreetDock is hosted in the EEA, and calls run through our own media relay in the EEA.

What does GreetDock not do?

GreetDock has no AI chatbot that answers visitors, no screen sharing, no helpdesk or ticketing, and no self-serve export during the private beta. Visitors cannot start a call yet: today your team offers it. If you need those today, LiveChat may suit you better.

Can GreetDock run next to our helpdesk?

Yes. GreetDock is where the live conversation on your website happens, and your helpdesk keeps running beside it. There are no helpdesk integrations in the private beta; your own AI tools can read the records over MCP with read-only tokens.

How hard is it to switch?

Apply for the private beta. After a person reviews your application, you add one script tag and invite your team. Your current tool can keep running beside GreetDock during the free 30-day trial.

What does GreetDock cost?

The private beta is a free 30-day trial, with no card and no automatic charge. After the beta, plans are based on monthly visitors. Prices are shared with each team before the beta ends.
