When Crisp fits better. We would rather you pick the right one.
Every tool here is good at something. This is where each one is the stronger choice.
You want a free plan to start, an AI agent (Hugo) that answers visitors before a person steps in, a knowledge base and ticket portal in the same tool, and screen sharing during calls. Crisp is also hosted in the EU.
You want a person from your team answering every visitor, with no AI credits to track, and co-browsing where your team points and draws but never clicks for the visitor.
What switching looks like. At your own pace, with nothing switched off first.
After a person reviews your application and confirms compatibility with your site. No app for visitors to install.
Invite the people who answer. They sign in with their own account.
Keep your current tool during the free 30-day trial. Switch when you are ready.
Questions teams ask before switching.
Crisp is also hosted in the EU. What is the difference?
Both keep data in Europe. Crisp says its data is held on EU servers in the Netherlands and Germany, with relay servers in the US, UK and Singapore that keep connection logs only. GreetDock is hosted in the EEA, and calls run through our own media relay in the EEA. Check each vendor's DPA and sub-processor list before you decide.
Does GreetDock have an AI agent like Crisp's Hugo?
No. GreetDock has no AI chatbot that answers visitors: a person from your team replies. AI works on your team's side. When a call is recorded, a transcript and a summary draft are saved to the record, using a model hosted in the EU.
Crisp has co-browsing too. How is GreetDock's different?
Crisp's MagicBrowse asks the visitor's permission by default, and Crisp says agents can point, scroll and click in the visitor's tab. In GreetDock the visitor chooses "Allow for this page" or "Not now". Your team can point, spotlight and draw, but there is no remote control. Sensitive fields are masked, and the visitor can end the session from a Stop bar.
What does Crisp do that GreetDock does not?
Crisp has screen sharing during calls from its Essentials plan, the Hugo AI agent, a knowledge base, a ticket portal and a free plan. GreetDock has no AI chatbot that answers visitors, no screen sharing, no helpdesk or public help centre for visitors, and no self-serve export. Visitors cannot start a call yet: today your team offers it.
Can GreetDock run next to our helpdesk?
Yes. GreetDock is where the live conversation on your website happens, and your helpdesk keeps running beside it. There are no helpdesk integrations in the private beta; your own AI tools can read the records over MCP with read-only tokens.
How hard is it to switch?
Apply for the private beta. After a person reviews your application, you add one script tag and invite your team. Your current tool can keep running beside GreetDock during the free 30-day trial.
What does GreetDock cost?
The private beta is a free 30-day trial, with no card and no automatic charge. After the beta, plans are based on monthly visitors. Prices are shared with each team before the beta ends.
